All Jim Optical products are sold with a X-month warranty which applies from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover the following: Defects (or damage) that have been caused by accidents, incorrect use, unauthorized modifications or the use of components or accessories other than those manufactured or recommended by Jim Optical(e.g. inkwells or ink cartridges) and the consequences of normal wear and tear.



As with any quality product, proper care will enhance and prolong the usefulness of your sunglasses and protect your investment. Your sunglasses are coated on the backside of the lens with an anti-reflective (A/R) coating which is essential in eliminating glare and is one of the three elements that make up our patented design. For optimum performance, rinse your sunglasses daily in warm water. Use a mild liquid dish or bath soap to wash each lens surface. Try using a clean, soft, absorbent cloth. Do not use paper-based products to clean your lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners, soaps or detergents that may leave a deposit on the lens. Do not use tissues with added lotions, lanolin, silicone or other cleaners; they will leave a film on the lens.


The multiple coatings on your lenses are resistant to light scratching, however heavy, abusive scratching can break through the coatings and cause visible marks. Significantly help prolong the life of your lenses by removing dirt and other particles with good cleaning practices and keep your sunglasses in their case while not in use. Good cleaning practices will also help minimize scratching.


Certain common household chemicals will react negatively with the frame material and the metal oxides used on the coatings of your lenses. Avoid contact with acetone (nail polish remover), caustic solutions (such as glass or other ammonia based cleaners), hair sprays containing methylene (listed on label), chlorine (from swimming pools or unfiltered water) or glue.


"Hard" water contains high levels of dissolved minerals, especially calcium and magnesium. It is "softened" by the addition of sodium during the filtering process. Everyday examples include pool water and unfiltered water, such as sprinkler water. "Hard" water can be a nuisance to sunglass wearers, as it leaves white spots on lenses after drying. To avoid spotting, simply rinse any sunglass or eyeglass with filtered (tap) water, and wipe dry with a clean cloth.


All Jim Optical sunglasses are saltwater safe and corrosion resistant. As with "hard" water, we suggest you rinse off any sunglass with filtered (tap) water, and wipe dry with a clean cloth.


Excessive heat may deteriorate your lenses or misshape your nylon frame. Avoid placing your sunglasses where you might expect excessive heat, for example, on the dashboard of your car.


We recommend that you visit your local sunglass retailer periodically to have them tighten the eyewear screws, attached temples and nose bridges.


All new sunglasses purchased from Jim Optical include a clean cloth bag. Clean cloth is a great way to keep your sunglasses clean and smudge free. We recommend you frequently launder your clean cloth to keep if free of debris, dirt and oils that could damage your lenses. Wash in warm soapy water. Do not use fabric softener as this may leave a film on your lenses.



We ship by USPS or UPS for USA orders and it takes 3 to 8 business days. We ship by standard shipping to other countries, usually it takes 5 to 20 business days.


We will send you an email confirming the carrier’s details and the tracking number as soon as your order is shipped.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, please contact to us and explain it, we will make decision depend on details.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) on any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Jim Optical is not responsible for the loss of any items during the return shipment.


Yes, you will have 30 days after receipt of your glasses to return them and obtain a full refund or decide to replace them with an identical pair if you encounter problems. You can also return customized and prescription sunglasses. See the Return policy section for more details.


We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an exchange request email at sales@jimoptical.com.


To return or exchange your product, you should mail your product to:

You will be responsible for paying for the shipping costs for returning your item and the shipping costs are refundable. We will refund the shipping cost once we confirm receive the item.

If you are sending the item within the United States and the order is valued over $35, it must be returned to us with a trackable shipping service. For items below $35, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service. If a package doesn't arrive and you don't use a trackable method to return or if you refuse the shipment as a method of return, we may not be able to process the return request. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item by any un-trackable method.

Shipping and returns are completely free (unfortunately we are unable to offer a return on a gift card).


Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card, PAYPAL account or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Refunds normally arrive within 15 business days of receipt.


If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Mistakes happen and we want you to be happy with your order, so we have allowed an hours grace from your purchase to cancel your order and create a new one.

Simply go to the Orders Orders History section under the My Account label. There you will find your existing order with the option to cancel. For your ease of use we will keep the existing details about the cancelled order in case you wish to re-order or alter it. Please note, your security is important to us and so the details stored will never include your payment information.
